MISR LANSA FUNCTION SCAN PROCESS

MISR has developed a LANSA for Iseries tool that allows for entry of fields, files, functions and programs and new values for each of above. The tool then scans a selected LANSA partition functions for “matches” to the scan values and presents a developer with all the changes that need to be made in a LANSA Function based upon that scan.

Scan Data Entry

Entry of scan items can be made through several methods. Below is an example of using LANSA file field definitions to select field to scan.

Once an entry is selected on the previous screen, the field details are displayed for noting field changes to be made.

After Scans have been made, a developer can see all LANSA Functions that need changes. The screen also provides project control and access to detailed Function Change Information.

Function Fields requiring changes are highlighted.

Change details are noted.

Source Programs for file conversions can be automatically generated  from the database.
